But kenapa dilakuin?

Coz it would be safer for you. You'll be saved by the false stories. You know it'll be dangerous if you tell the truth.

So dont blame those who lie. Doesnt mean that's acceptable, but dig deeper. Analyze their motives. Why one lies when it's harder and riskier. You'll be surprised why.
